Betsy and Todd's wedding

Betsy and Todd have to be one, of many, favorite couples that I've ever shot for. Their attitudes are awesome and I really like their artsy taste and vibe. They were the couple who came up from NC for the day just for me to do their engagement session, and it dumped the rain on us. This was also one of the most unique weddings I've ever shot. I definitely couldn't have been much different from what I was used to shooting even if I tried to make it so. It was a Native American style wedding, with a chief n' all. It was fascinating how much symbolism was involved in the actual ceremony and the religious aspects of it actually surprised me . There were a ton details I could explain on here but it would take a book to list. If you're interested though it's a pretty good story. The dress belonged to her mom, who was married in it over 50 years ago. It had since passed hands 4 more times for trips down the aisle. One of my favorite parts about the whole day was their great danes and how they were part of everything, including the ceremony. Everybody should have dogs in their wedding. All in all it was a great time and Creekside is a gorgeous backdrop for a wedding in good ol Wrong Turn WV.. Luckily for all the guests from out of state the propaganda thrown out about WV isn't true, and all of them I talked to really loved this state.
